At the end of 2009 Twitter had just topped 75 million user accounts. Recent research conducted by Pingdom reports that it’s now serving more than 40 million tweets per day. That equals a lot of opportunity.
Websites are almost like business cards, everyone has one and they aren’t afraid to hand out the URL at every available opportunity. But unlike business cards, websites need ongoing attention and care.
It’s agreed; social media is beneficial to business success. But like any plan for marketing, or improving customer relationships, it requires good strategy and management.
