FREE: Feature Opportunity for Startups

by Carlee | Chief SNOB on February 8, 2010

EXCITING UPDATE! As part of SNOBS re-structuring we’re improving some of the old feature sections to make them more beneficial to you, the reader. Especially readers who are business owners.

I’ll publish updates on changes as they happen. Plus, anyone registered as a SNOB will get detailed instructions on how to make use of our free promotional opportunities, in upcoming subscriber newsletters. Now, about the first feature-section change…

It’s a New-Look ‘New Kids on the Block’!

SNOBS.com.au has been helping startup, women business owners with free promotion (in the form of Q&A) since we started up. Our New Kids on the Block features have promoted more than 45 stylin’ startup ladies to Australia’s online business community, in the past 15 months. Some of them are pictured below:

Besides a feature write-up appearing here, we also put the word out via Twitter and Facebook every time new interviews are published.

And if you like them apples, get a load of the benefits attached to our new-look NKOTB! First up is a name change. New Kids will now be known as In The Making – so it’s kinda like a mini-version of Success Story (our feature section on established businesswomen).

The other changes are:

  • Each interview published will now focus on one businesswoman (or business), instead of two per article.
  • We’re extending the interviews to learn more about each business and the highs, lows, lightbulb moments experienced by different women.
  • The eligibility criteria has changed. From experience, we’ve realised the “startup phase” often lasts longer than 12 months. So we’re now offering In The Making features to any female, Australian business owner; still in her first two years of trade.

There is one thing we haven’t changed, and that’s how easy it is to line up a success In The Making feature for your new business. Just drop us a line via the contact page, and we’ll let you know if you’re eligible.

Hi, my name is Carlee Potter. I launched this website (which I like to refer to as an “online magazine”) in 2008. I also like to refer to myself as Chief SNOB... although it hasn’t quite caught on yet. You can learn more about me, and SNOBS, via the ABOUT page.
