Hi fellow opportunistic businesswomen,

I’ve been dying to share a new pearl I have come across. Like many people I sometimes find myself flinching at the thought of (the dreaded) media relations. We all believe our products are services are interesting but when it comes time to telling journalists how interesting our latest event/ product it can be really hard/ scary.

Recently I found a website called Source Bottle which is a great resource as you simply register your details and industry on the site and Bec (who runs Source Bottle) will email you enquiries lodged by journalists looking for information, quotes, comments etc. This has really helped me and I’ve been able to place quite a few articles using Source Bottle.

It’s also a great way to establish really strong relationships with journalists as if you can help them with a quote or article in their hour of need they are very likely to return the favour.

Now these words of wisdom must be worth some new make-up? (I only have one colour at the moment!)
