Pay It Forward is SNOBS’ way of giving to charity, until such time as we make enough money to actually give to charity.
Although we’ll probably continue to run this section of the site anyway – it’s like our national community notice board to help people who are trying to help other people, get in touch with people who might be able to help them.
Here’s how it works: if you are part of an Australian charity organisation that requires sponsorship, some helping hands, free use of a location for a fundraising event or maybe a donation of 500 plastic hire-chairs and 2000 sausages… we will give you the write-up space to let Australia know what you’re doing, why, and how you could use a hand to make it happen.
Then, any business which jumps onboard to help out – if you contact the charity group because you saw their bulletin here – will get their own write-up at SNOBS (a mini business profile and plug) as thanks!

SIDS and Kids Queensland is a not-for-profit organisation that provides a range of bereavement support services to anyone in Queensland who has experienced the sudden and unexpected death of a child, under the age of 6, regardless of cause and free of charge.
We also run educational programs on infant safe sleeping practices in an effort to reduce the infant mortality rate in Queensland.
SIDS and Kids Queensland run a number of events throughout the year including our annual Gala Ball. This year, the ball is themed Fire and Ice and will be held at the Novotel Brisbane on Friday 22nd May.
Much of the event is locked in and looking exciting, however, we are seeking support to create the finishing touches for this vital fundraising initiative.
We seek the donation of the following items:
• 150 light-up ice cubes (cannot confirm all will be returned)
• 1 black cloth approx 4m x 4m (can be returned if required)
